The absence is the design.
Lacuna takes its name from the Latin: a void, a gap, a deliberate absence. It is the smallest object in the collection, and the most concentrated.
The form pares back to what cannot be removed. No fastening, no hardware, no exterior feature that announces itself. The only argument Lacuna makes is structural: two panels of full-grain leather, stitched with precision at three edges, open at one. The interior is smooth and unlined: the leather speaks directly to whatever you place inside it.
There is no bronze band here. Lacuna is not part of the Fibula series. It is a different kind of statement: a study in reduction so thorough that what remains is no longer design, but material.
It is the object that makes you reconsider all the objects you carry.
